Go.Explore is ” Officially the Next Disruptor ” according to WeeTracker – a Global Tech Media company which aims to connect startup ecosystems around the world. Go.Explore claimed this status by taking first place at the Disruption 48 event hosted in partnership with Startup Safari. 

Participants and WeeTracker partners collectively took the competition to new heights. A total of 580 applications were received out of which 15 reached the semifinal stage. Most of the ideas received were around disruptive innovation and social impact. The 2-day event, which concluded on February 17th 2018, was hosted at the MEST incubator in Cape Town and was witnessed by more than 70 entrepreneurs and changemakers.

The grand final had a total of 6 entrepreneurs who pitched their disruptive ideas to a panel of esteemed judge comprised of Victoria Jackson (MEST), Matthew Henshall (Skillup Tutors), Tumi Menyatswe (Silicon Cape) and Antoinette Prophy (88 Business Collective).

Go.Explore founder, Josh Fillmore, exclaimed “I found Disruption48 to be an innovative way of bringing together budding entrepreneurs from around the province. As part of the rewards won, Josh secures a seat in Startup Safari, a global immersion program which takes place in emerging ecosystems around the world. Moreover, Josh won a 3 month membership to one of the top coworking spaces in Cape Town, MEST, as well as a cash prize.

The Disruption 48 event is representative of an early win for the Go.Explore team and has provided them with a portion of the resources required to take this company forward.
